Our customer, Precheza a.s. is a major manufacturer and supplier of inorganic pigments and has been producing titanium dioxide for over 50 years. Precheza exports approximately 90% of its production to meet global demand for this essential chemical, while being committed to globally recognised standards in occupational health and safety management systems, quality, environmental and energy management. To remain consistent with these standards, Precheza relies on robust data management and analytics processes that support operational efficiency and plant safety. improves plant safety and productivity.

Our company M-D-J, Ltd (Rockwell Automation Recognized System Integrator), in coordination with Precheza's internal IT team, brought to a successful conclusion a project to design and implement a production data historization architecture on the FT Historian SE high-availability platform, where redundant failover FTH Interfaces and collective FTH Data Archive) were deployed. In this implementation, the FT Historian SE historization platform ensures the availability of production data to users even in case of a main server failure. At the same time, in such a redundant architecture, the operating systems of the individual servers can be serviced/updated during operation without the risk of losing production data. Our company has many years of experience in deploying such demanding solutions and we are able to flexibly adapt the overall architecture design to the existing situation and specific customer requirements in terms of security and high availability of data collection.

This historian platform, based on FT Historian SE from Rockwell Automation, is currently operated and maintained by the customer, Precheza. Both the administrators of this platform and its users appreciate the openness of the system and the ease of integrating data from different sources, which allows them to manage a given production data collection architecture internally without being heavily dependent on our support.

The biggest benefit for Prechez, however, has been being able to leverage its production data. Operators now have access to a number of features that help them organize analysis and visualization of production processes. This allows users to gain a much deeper insight into production status and offers excellent reporting capabilities.
